For many years, Inseta has supported initiatives connected to fashion, creativity, and textile culture. For us, it is essential to develop relationships both with visual expression and with institutions dedicated to nurturing new professional paths, such as Polimoda—Italy’s center of excellence for Fashion Design & Business in Florence—and academic institutions engaged in the sharing of scientific and textile research, such as the University of Palermo. We believe in growing together, because everything is knowledge, everything is future, and it is precisely from these small contributions, from these seeds, that innovation is born. Seeing and imagining the future in order to shape the present.
Some of the projects we have proudly participated in include: In-Fashion Feel, In-Fashion Touch, Inseta for Polimoda Award – War for Peace. The garments created were presented at international trade fairs and exhibited in the company showroom. In addition, several scholarships were awarded, underscoring the company’s commitment to supporting the growth of the next generation of fashion designers.
War For Peace originates from the study of war as a reflection on prevention and the construction of peace. Born from the collaboration between Inseta and Polimoda, the project involves students of the Master’s in Fashion Design, who reinterpret military clothing by transforming it into a symbol of dialogue and rebirth. All the creations, made using Inseta fabrics, are inspired by research conducted in the Vintage Historical Archive of Reggello. The most innovative and coherent works were awarded a scholarship
The final phase of the project was filled with emotion and confirmed the excellent potential of the combination between Inseta fabrics and the skills of young designers trained at Polimoda.
The level of competition was extremely high, making the selection of winners particularly challenging. The jury—composed of Uberto Ciatti, owner of Inseta; Renato Saviani, Inseta marketing consultant; and members of the teaching staff who followed the students—announced the winners:
1st place: Olga Ochkas
2nd place: Maria Pilar Martins
3rd place: Tzu Chun Weng
Special prize: Giulianna Grilli
In-Fashion Touch was the second project born from the collaboration between Inseta and the Polimoda Fashion Design Institute.
Starting from a lecture given by Uberto Ciatti to the Fashion Design and Footwear and Accessories Design classes, the project aimed to involve students in the conception and creation of accessories and design objects using Inseta fabrics.
The best works received a full scholarship offered by Inseta and were promoted through exhibitions and communication events.
Polimoda and Inseta selected the winners of the In-Fashion Touch project.
Andrea Delorenzi stood out as the best in the Accessories category, while Giulia Farencena Casaro won first prize for Best Design Object.
Both received a full scholarship offered by Inseta, and their works were promoted through exhibitions and communication events.
The partnership between Inseta and Polimoda Florence—Italy’s center of excellence for Fashion Design & Business—began with lectures given by Uberto Ciatti to third-year Fashion Design students at the Design Lab.
These lectures represented the first step of the educational project In-Fashion Feel, which saw young designers create some of their garments using Inseta fabrics. The students’ creations then walked the runway at the Fashion Show at Palazzo Strozzi, a must-attend event of the Pitti Uomo Fashion Week.
Given the success of the show, Inseta and Polimoda decided to continue the partnership, which in the following months led to further high-profile initiatives.
Inseta is proud to contribute to the educational journey of young students who approach the world of fashion in an original and proactive way, by providing them with highly innovative and distinctive fabrics with which to test and develop their creative abilities.
